目的

全染色体を一度に限られた時間で直接的に解析し、染色体の異常（増幅/欠損）の有無、並びに場所を同定する「共焦点レーザ顕微鏡による全染色体画像解析装置」を開発し、疾患の予知・診断・予後予測等のための画像解析ソフトの開発を行う。（出典：NEDO分科会資料より http://www.nedo.go.jp/iinkai/hyouka/houkoku/15h/55.pdf ）
紹介

全染色体を一度に限られた時間で直接的に解析し、染色体の異常(増幅／欠損)の有無、並びに場所の固定が可能となり、癌、糖尿病などの成人病ばかりでなく、遺伝子欠損病の予知、早期診断、予後予測を容易に行うことができる。このため、早期治療が可能となり、発病以前に対策をとることにより患者数を減らし、早期に予後を予想しつつ治療を行うことにより、危篤患者数を少なくできる。この結果、国民のＱＯＬ（Quality of Life）を高めるとともに、全体的な医療費のコスト削減に大きく寄与する。具体的には、発病の未然防止や遅延、最適な投薬治療や手術が可能となり、不必要、不適格な治療が減少する。（出典：NEDO分科会資料より http://www.nedo.go.jp/iinkai/hyouka/houkok/15h/55.pdf ）
